Sea-Kayaking in Croatia
Croatia is a paradise for calm water sea kayaking in the midst of striking natural beauty and nearly 2000 years of history.
With a Mediterranean climate and a stable government, Croatia is fast becoming THE place to kayak in Europe. Mediterranean cuisine cooked in locally -grown olive oil, fresh seafood, excellent accommodation and professionally guided trips are just some of the highlights of our new kayaking journeys in Croatia.
Basing this 8-day kayaking trip in Dubrovnik will allow evenings free to discover this magical, medieval city. Modern Dubrovnik has nearly perfectly intact fortifications dating back to the 7th century.
Heavy shelled in the 1990's, Dubrovnik has been completely rebuilt and is a thriving jewel on the Adriatic and a World Heritage site.
With easy kayaking right from the city and returning each evening except for two nights on nearby islands, we will have time to admire ancient buildings, pristine wildlife and glide silently over the translucent waters of the Adriatic. Guided by a team of English-speaking, local professionals and followed by a skiff with our gear, we will travel around the Elafiti Archipelago, stopping for snorkeling, picnicking and admiring the schools of dolphins, which occasionally swim with our boats.
This sea kayaking journey has been tailored for both beginners and accomplished paddlers. Our main ambition is not to cover as much territory as possible, but rather, to allow you to discover this amazing country, slowly, in touch with its history, people, culture and cuisine.
