Hiking adventures Alpine Interface
Karin Stubenvoll

Karin Stubenvoll

Karin is of German descent, discovering trekking and skiing in the Black Forest in Germany as a child. After successfully finishing an internship with IBM, the reputation of the Chamonix Valley as one of the greatest ski areas in the world brought her to France.

After three winter seasons she made Chamonix her home base, working for the European tour of the Banff Mountain Film Festival, perfecting her English, French and Spanish.

Along with operating Alpine Interface, Karin has assisted Russell Brice, one of the world's premier high altitude expedition leaders, coordinating the first foreign run guides office in the Chamonix valley.

For the last four years, Karin and Louis have been working towards their goal to own and operate Alpine Interface, trying to connect their passion for the mountains and cultures of the world with you.

Together they transformed an old chalet from 1841 into their home, where they welcome trekkers and adventurers to serve as a real Alpine Interface
