THINGS THAT WERE GREAT AND/OR BETTER THAN EXPECTED:
1) Our guides, Blaise and Mark, could not have been any better! They were everything we could have hoped for and more.
2) The food was one of the highlights of the trip, ranging from good to excellent! We've mimicked some of the picnics since we've been home.
3) The lodging was nice across the board, specifically the Hotel Eden, the hotel in Courmayeur and the first hotel in Switzerland (which also served our favorite dinner and breakfast).
The only improvements I can suggest would be to provide some additional info the packet you send out i.e. tipping guidelines, how much spending money people will need during the week etc.
We really enjoyed the trip and would be glad to provide a testimonial for your website or FB page."

"Just a quick note to let you know how much Brent and I enjoyed the TMB Express. Outstanding in all respects, I would rate all facets of the trip a 10 (on a scale of 10), except for the weather the last 2 days--but, hey, what can one do about that.
Lindsay and Martin are a world-class act and we greatly appreciated their superb efforts and dedication to ensuring our trip was safe and fun for all.
In addition to his yummy lunches, driving the van (and managing the tupperware), Martin provided exceptional comic relief at dinner--always, of course, in his inimitible Brit manner.
Brent and I particularly appreciated Lindsay's success in arranging for us to look in on the Beaufort cheese "factory", the stopover at the mountain hut with the wood stove and resident chien, the visit to the cow bell factory outside Chamonix, and especially for inviting us over to their cozy apartment in Finhaut for vin rouge .
Of course, there's only one downside to all this - Lindsay and Martin have set the bar too high for any future guide team to effectively compete.

"... As promised, I am writing this e-mail to give you more feedback on the TMB trip I took last week. I want to tell you what a fantastic trip I had. The views on the TMB are spectacular and the weather for the majority of the time during the tour was very nice but the people with Alpine Interface were what make this trip different from other trips I took before. Louis and Karin were both prompt in answering my many questions about the tour and booking even though they were in the middle of moving, setting up new office and expecting new baby any day. Our trekking guide, Lindsay was fantastic, professional, caring and very knowledgeable. She paid attention to our needs and always followed up with helpful information proactively. Our driver, Martin was very attentive and also very knowledgeable. He was always making sure that we have everything we need. The snack pack and picnic lunch brought and packed everyday by Martin were always a real treat.   Dinner was also what I looked forward to after the long hike everyday. We had wonderful dinner in very nice restaurant everyday. I think I ate more good food during this trip than during any of my other trips. The hotels (including the Refuge) were all with different local charm and were all very nice. The views from my hotel rooms were all breath-taking which made the end of day more relaxing.
Overall, I had a wonderful trip and I can’t stop telling everybody around me about the trip and Alpine Interface..."

"I was planning to email you today to tell you what a wonderful time I had on the TMB. It isn't often that your expectations are not simply met, but exceeded.
This was the case with the TMB. You and Louis set the tone by your caring and concerned answers to all of my booking questions. Neil was prompt and pleasant in picking my sister and me up from our hotel at the start of the tour. Charlotta was a most professional, competent and caring trekking guide. She was knowledgeable and pleasant. She did everything possible to ensure that the members of her group got the most from their tour. Peter was an excellent driver. He went out of his way to make things run smoothly and was extremely reliable, pleasant and helpful.
As for the tour itself; the meals were excellent...my sister and I had a hard time deciding which dinner was the best. The hotels were charming and a pleasure to reach after a hard days climb! Charlotta found trails which were challenging but the view always rewarded the effort and, as you mentioned, the weather for much of the tour was spectacular.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the TMB with alpine interface to my friends based on my very positive experience and hope that I will be able to join you in another adventure in the future. Again, thank you for making my holiday so special and enjoyable. "

The food... it was wonderful and abundant. Meals were every bit as good as the brochure advertised, perhaps better. Mealtimes were always a pleasure both for the great food and the good conversation. The lodging ...every hotel was clean and quite comfortable. As I expressed to you at the time, the stay at Marmara did push my comfort level due to the electric/water/bee situation. It was an adventure for one night (and the location was outstanding), but two nights would have been unpleasant for me. I thank you for making the change to our itinerary that allowed us to move to Lutro one night early.
The itinerary ...the trips to the museum and to Knossos added greatly to the trip. Thank you Louis for getting us to Knossos on the last day in spite of our time constraints. You could have blown it off, but you didn't and I can't thank you enough for that. The scenery on the walks was breathtaking. [...]
The people ...the Cretan people were the friendliest, most helpful and accommodating folks I have ever met. I will long remember them, especially Captain George.     
In summary ...The tour was wonderful. I would recommend this trip and Alpine Interface without any hesitation. Thank you for another great experience that I will remember and cherish forever. Who knows, perhaps another Alpine Interface tour next year....

I've been meaning to let both of you know how much we all enjoyed our Provence adventure.
Louis, thank you for getting all 11 of us through 7 days of traveling, lodging, hiking and shopping. The countryside and cultural experience was everything I'd imagined and having your French know-how was always reassuring. I haven't spoken to many of the group but we have a get together planned for August when everyone is back from vacations and holidays. Ritchie's laid back attitude and quirky sense of humor was appreciated by everyone. Karin as I've been telling you for over a year now, thank you for your patience and flexibility when it came to getting everyone signed on. Working with a small business like yours was a pleasure and felt more like friends/family then big business. I would love to use Alpine for a trip to the French Alps one day. A much smaller group and I hope I'll get to meet Karin. I've got a friend who wants to take a road trip through western Canada which includes Banff. It would be a pleasure to have dinner with both of you if that happens. I wish both of you nothing but the best with Alpine Interface and your other endeavors."

CUSTOMIZED TRIPS IN EUROPE

 

"Just letting you know we are back in VT after a wonderful two weeks exploring Italy. Although it was all good, our highlight had to be completing the TMB.  We had wonderful weather, always a help, but felt strong and fit throughout, probably due to the fact we were not lugging the baggage. I don't know if you had anything to do with this, but we always felt we had the best room in each hotel.  Although the Forclaz was simple, we actually had a very enjoyable stay there, meeting many interesting folks during dinner and breakfast.In each hotel, we were treated very well.  (We do apogize for forgetting to return the key at the Forclaz, and hope the McKearins got it there okay.)
Thank you for being so responsive to our needs.  Everything went off without a hitch, including bags always there on time, and busses running as scheduled, etc.  The bus to Champex was truly an experience!!!!  We can't decide our favorite hike, but Col de Balme ranks right up there, also hiking up to the Lac Blanc through the preserve and seeing many ibex who let us come very close and almost posed for photos....were right up there.  Our first day of hiking up through Col de Fenette was also a showstopper with incredible views.
So, we are very happy that we were able to do this trip, and thank you for all your hard work in putting it together.  We really enjoyed having dinner and time with our friends, the McKearins, in Chamonix, so thank you for rearranging our itinerary to accommodate this change of plans."

We followed your recommendations as much as we could. We didn't do all of the Lac Blanc hike you suggested but we did hike to Lac Blanc. It was raining and very cloudy at Champex so we took a rest day.  
And when it was all over at Forclaz we wished we were doing more!  
The Refugio Bonati was wonderful as was Hotel Eden - The hotel in Champex was nice too.
