Each Alpine Interface tour includes a guided hiking tours equipment list, carefully prepared by our expert guides and based on years of outdoor experience in each locale. Our goal is to prepare you for an exciting, challenging adventure so that you will have just enough gear to be safe and comfortable, but not too much.
Climate is as much a factor as the mountains themselves whether trekking through the Alps, the Rockies, or Patagonia. Most of our adventures take place at various altitudes, where the weather can change quickly and sometimes drastically.
Be prepared for summer warmth mixed with frequent rains and a bright sun. Most hiking equipment lists in the Alps are very similar, and just differ in regards to a few little items, depending on if you will be staying in a hut or a dormitory on the way.
Think of your feet as your most important “resource” throughout your trip, and choose footwear accordingly. See lists for detailed tips on how to choose all the right equipment, from backpacks or rucksacks, to boots and technical clothing.
If you have any questions regarding any of our equipment lists, please contact us. Please view each tour description page and scroll down for a link to the Equipment PDF for that tour.
