Itinerary + Info

Day 1: ARRIVAL, LJUBLJANA
In the afternoon we will visit the old city,   the Dragon Bridge and possibly take a boat ride along the river, followed by our trip briefing and welcome dinner.

Day 2/3:  LOGARSKA VALLEY
The secluded Logarska Valley National Park near the Austrian Border is our destination, where jagged   limestone cliffs and lush green valleys have been the hide-out for Austrian nobility for centuries. One of our hikes will take us up to Mont Okreselj and later along the fairy tale trail to the hidden Rinka Waterfall.

Day 4/5: LAKE BOHINJ / BLED
We head to the jewel of the Slovenian Alps, Lake Bohinj, by taking a spectacular mountain road. Bled is one of the highlights of the trip and we will enjoy hiking up Mt Visevnik, which gives us unobstrcuted views of Mount Triglav, situated in a World UNESCO Heritage Site.   Free time in the afternoon to take the boat to the island in the middle of the lake and explore the 11th century medieval castle.

Day 6/7: VALLEY OF THE SEVEN LAKES
Our hike takes us high above Bohinj, in an area of the Julian Alps referred to as ‘The Mystic Kingdom of the Golden Horn’. We end our day at the Prehodavci Hut. Enjoy the alpenglow in one of the most beautiful high alpine settings as dinner is being prepared for you. Descending in the morning light touching the peaks around us, we head back down to Lake Bohinj.

Day 8: DEPARTURE DAY
